Founding Attorney

Attorney Seda Taşkın Meriç graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Law in 2010. Following her legal internship, she worked on the legal affairs of Hayat Kimya Sanayi A.Ş., Kastamonu Entegre Ağaç San. Tic. A.Ş., and other group companies within Hayat Holding A.Ş. She subsequently worked as a senior lawyer at Akdeniz Girişim Holding A.Ş. and later served as a senior lawyer at Makro İnşaat Tic. A.Ş., a subsidiary of Etra Holding A.Ş.

During this period, she gained experience managing contracts, corporate law matters, commercial transactions, real estate and construction processes, and dispute resolution for companies operating across various sectors. Building on this expertise, she founded STM Law and Consultancy in 2016.

Her experience within holding companies gave her insight into the fact that corporate management expects more from the legal function than mere legal opinions; they seek a perspective that ensures commercial decisions are shaped upon a sound legal foundation. She adopts this same approach in the consultancy services she provides at STM today, evaluating legal matters in conjunction with companies' commercial objectives, operational realities, and long-term outcomes.

She has represented contractors in numerous residential and commercial projects—developed by public-affiliated real estate entities—that utilized revenue-sharing and profit-sharing models based on land sales. She has provided legal consultancy across various stages of projects, ranging from the construction phase to the operational period for holiday resorts, and from land acquisition to construction and permitting processes for factory investments. In addition, he has handled high-value factory and business transfers, the dissolution of partnerships and share transfers, the resolution of partnership disputes through negotiation and mediation, and arbitration proceedings.

He currently focuses his practice primarily on corporate law and corporate consultancy, construction and real estate law, and dispute resolution.

Certifications: Over fifty certification programs in fields of private law, particularly construction, real estate, commercial, and labor law.
